The Portable BGAN Streaming Option
BGAN Terminals are portable satellite antennas with Global coverage. They have the ability to stream a video signal with an unshared 1:1 CIR of 384 Kbps with a maximum speed potential of 450 Kbps.

The obvious benefit of the BGAN is it's small size and global coverage area (see map). The downside of the BGAN is the upper speed limit of 450Kbps and the cost of use is billed per minute at a top rate of $27 (USD) a minute.
BGAN systems are often used for news gathering purposes that use the streaming channel on the BGAN network connection. All BGAN plans offered have the ability to access the streaming channels, but only the Hughes 9201 has the ability to steam the faster BGAN X-Stream 450 Kbps channel.
